ARE YOU READY?
It appears that the focus on the recession has somewhat subsided over the last few weeks!!!
I am not sure if that is because we are seeing the first signs of " business returning to normal" or if it is
just that the media has a new trumpet to blow - courtesy of our MP's who do to seem to understand the rules as regards business expenses needing to be
" wholly necessarily and exclusively" incurred in the performance of their duties of employment.
One thing though is certain, things will pick up and business will start to move again. I therefore ask
again ARE YOU READY?
When business levels start to increase have you considered:
Will you need to take on new staff to cope with the increase in activity?
- Where will you find these staff?
- When do you think you will need them?
- Will they have notice periods to serve first?
- When do you need to start planning to recruit?
- How long will you have to spend training them to get them up to full speed?
- Will you need to find financing for the purchase of new tools/ equipment for them?
Will you need purchase stock to fulfill the new orders?
- Have you examined your current stock to see if this can be used?
- Do you have redundant stock that will need to be replaced?
- Will your bank provide finance on presentation of an authorised purchase order?
Have you prepared a business plan & Cash flow Analysis scenarios?
- Are you looking to the future to predict how your business will perform?
- Have you prepared a plan to ensure that you break even/ are profitable when business increased?
- Do you know what funding you will need when your business increases?
